Mod of the Month – March 2019
Spring is officially here, and while the trees begin to bud, the talent among our Mods is in full bloom! As March comes to a close, it’s time to celebrate someone who shines brighter than an extra hour of sunlight (sorry, daylight savings). Please join us in a big round of virtual applause for our March 2019 Mod of the Month, David K!
David started with ModSquad in May 2016, but it’s hard to believe it’s been nearly three years already. “Time flies when you’re having fun,” David says. It was the flexibility to decide his own schedule that initially drew David to apply, and it has been the awesome projects and variety of work that has kept him happy since.
Since his early days at ModSquad, David has worked for our client VitalSource, the global leader in e-textbooks, in a variety of project roles. He provides support to a large volume of customers via phone, email, and live chat. His work is so outstanding that he is now a resource others can use to help themselves meet and exceed client expectations. He is an invaluable resource to his teammates, answering their questions and ensuring processes are being followed.
With over a decade of tech support and customer service roles on his CV, it’s no surprise assisting others comes second nature to David. He excels in making sure clients, customers, and fellow Mods have everything they need to succeed.
I really enjoy being a resource for Mods. It’s nice to pass my experience on and see them become even more confident in their roles.
David is big into gaming and spends a few hours a day playing video games. Yet even the best graphics can’t compare to the sights he sees while hiking and traveling. He recently returned from a fantastic trip to Iceland, where he saw the Northern Lights and explored the country’s national parks.
The Project Managers who’ve worked with David have nothing but praise for him:
“David exemplifies everything someone at ModSquad should be. He’s punctual and detail-oriented, never hesitates to ask the right questions, and when he can’t find an answer, he uses the absolute best judgment to arrive at a solution. He’s reliable, trustworthy, never misses a beat, and you can always count on him in a pinch. He’s really funny too, and it’s always a plus to work alongside someone who brightens everyone’s day.”
— Reed Kemp, Assistant Project Manager
“I’m lucky to have worked with David since I joined ModSquad. He has been amazing from day one. He’s a pleasure to work with, and I would love to have a team full of Davids. He’s a fountain of knowledge; if I don’t know an answer, he’s one person I can trust to help me out.”
— Mark Concannon, Project Manager
“David is a pleasure to work with. If I give him a task, he has it done in a heartbeat and always to a flawless standard. He definitely deserves recognition for the work he does and for his overwhelming contribution to the company.”
