Welcome, 2022! Our New Year’s Resolutions

While we’ve already kicked off ModSquad’s fiscal year 2022, we’re excited to turn the page on our real world calendars and dive into the new year. The Mods are all charged up and ready to bring it in 2022! The start of a new year also gives us all a chance to reflect and find ways to be even better versions of ourselves.

With that in mind, we’ve asked our Squad to share some of their plans for the new year. Whether big or small, here are some of the Mods’ resolutions for 2022!

“My resolution is to run a 5K every other month, so six a year. I just recently completed my first one!”
— Alaina D.

“This new year, I want to spend more time creating art and really letting my love for design show. In the past, I’ve shared some of my resin works on the blog. I’ve decided to move into acrylic pour art [at right], which gives just a bit more control over the final design. I’m hoping to make at least one piece of art a week, to really get used to the process and to create something beautiful! My end goal is to make at least five outstanding pieces that I can put up for auction at next year’s Extra Life charity event.”
— Rochelle H.

“In 2022, I am focusing on goals a little bit more than resolutions. I want to incorporate things in my life that are more specific and measurable. One goal is to commit to being more present with real people. More and more things are virtual now, and that’s great, but I’ve noticed the time I spend in person with others lifts my mood. My goal is to enjoy at least two days a week in the upcoming year socializing and engaging with friends and others in person, whether for a walk, a coffee, or dinner, to deepen connections.”
— Faith E.

“My resolution is to exercise more and get healthier. My wife and I can both stand to be more active. If we work together, we can make our health goals.”
— David H.

“For 2022, I’ve decided to get back into properly playing guitar. I’ve had this one for 12 years now, and it needs some work to clean it up and make it good as new. So step one is to reassemble, clean and polish, and fix up the old components. Step two is to practice a minimum of three hours per week.”
— Liam B.

“I am keeping 2022 pretty low key for goals and resolutions. We lost my dad a year ago and I really want to get his writings about his life transcribed to share with his grandkids. He had an interesting life, and I want to be sure it all gets put together to help remember him.”
— Olivia L.

“My resolution is to fully finish five video games in 2022.”
— Jessica S.

“I will compete in a barrel race on my own horse, Skeeter. I am currently competing on my trainer’s horse, but I want to be riding my own by next summer. Skeeter and I have been working toward this goal for two years now. We’ve had setbacks, but I’m going to make 2022 my year, with my own two horses! Below is a photo of me and Skeeter practicing.”
— Ashley M.

“For 2022, I want to learn new skills such as bookkeeping, and I hope to finish coding projects that I’ve postponed many times. Also, i want to continue to live life to the fullest and try to catch more zzz’s”
— Basmah A.

“I have been with ModSquad for over a year now. It has been one of the most fulfilling jobs in my working life. I’ve never met a group of people that are just so understanding and helpful. So my new year’s resolution is to be the best I can be at work and as a mother. To pay back all of the kindness, compassion, and understanding that everyone has shown me. As we start a new year, I vow to offer a hand when it is needed.”
— Donna W.

All great resolutions, and we wish everyone the best of luck in completing their goals! Here’s to a happy and healthy 2022 for all of the readers of the Mod Blog!
