In Sacramento? Give PlayStation VR a Try, Courtesy of ModSquad

The future is finally here, and you’re invited to get a peek at things to come! ModSquad has a PlayStation VR unit, and we’re eager for you to try it out. Whether you’re a ModSquadder or a friend of ModSquad (and if you’re reading this blog, that’s you!), we want you to experience virtual reality for yourself.

Just stop by our Sacramento office, located at 1300 S Street, to give VR a spin. This Friday (October 14), Monday (October 17), and Tuesday (October 18), we’ll be giving 15- to 30-minute demos to anyone interested. If you’ve never tried VR before, we highly recommend starting with something basic, like Ocean Descent (VR Worlds). You can sign up for multiple sessions, but priority will be given to first timers.

PlayStation VR Dos and Don’ts

DO

  • Look up trailers and pick a game in advance (or ask for a recommendation).
  • Ask us any questions about games or VR in general (once you get us started, we won’t shut up!).
  • Bring your own headphones, if you like. It’s a standard 1/8” jack.
  • Ask us to take your picture while you’re playing. Be the envy of your Facebook friends!
  • Have fun!

DON’T

  • Spoil the experience by watching an entire Let’s Play.
  • Put PSVR in direct sunlight (Seriously — the lenses will burn the display like ants on a sidewalk).
  • Get PSVR wet.
  • Feed PSVR after midnight.
