ModSquad Joins Tourism Ireland in Exploring the Connection Between Tourism and Digital Communities

ModSquad

ModSquad recently journeyed to gorgeous Dun Laoghaire in County Dublin, Ireland, where we met up with our clients and friends at Tourism Ireland (TI) for their Digital Days conference. This annual event sees members of TI’s local team, its regional market teams, and valued partners converge to discuss the state of the organization’s digital efforts, plan new initiatives, and discuss key happenings in the larger tourism and digital marketing fields. This year’s meet was held at Dun Laoghaire’s Royal Marine Hotel.

ModSquad has a strong history of collaboration with Tourism Ireland, and we always appreciate the opportunity to further integrate ModSquad’s representatives with our TI associates. For the third year straight, ModSquad was honored to be a participant in the annual event, on hand to share our experiences providing digital consumer engagement with our partners at Tourism Ireland. With six representatives from ModSquad in attendance, the event kicked off with an opening-night dinner at the historic Purty Kitchen, with roots dating back to 1728.

At the three-day conference, ModSquad presented an overview providing insights into the future of social media and digital communities, which focused on:

  • Preparing for ever-changing privacy and data regulations and concerns
  • The metamorphosis of social media and how to better integrate developing next-gen consumer bases
  • The emerging technologies that will shape the next five years

In addition, we enjoyed a series of informative overviews, showcasing the depth of knowledge of those in attendance, ranging in topics from marketing business intelligence to consumer-centric programming. By putting front and center the visitors to the organization’s websites, social platforms, and Ireland itself, TI demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the consumer that we at ModSquad wholeheartedly share and endorse.

In all, it was another mission-affirming event, one that drives home the value in our mutual commitment to promoting the island of Ireland. We look forward to our continued partnership and enacting the proposals developed over a satisfying three days. We hope to see you soon in Ireland!
