Mod of the Month – July 2019

As we step into the second half of 2019, we’re featuring someone who’s a perfect addition to our growing list of talented Mods here at ModSquad. Please join us in congratulating Sara R., our Mod of the Month for July 2019!

Sara began working with ModSquad in 2014 and enjoys the flexible schedule and variety of opportunities that are available to her.

“I love the flexibility of working from home and being able to set my own schedule. (I tend to be more of a night owl). There’s always something new to learn or try! I have worked on projects where I personally loved and utilized the product, so it felt more like I was doing what I love to do anyway rather than just doing a job.”

In her downtime, Sara is passionate about music (especially jazz) and enjoys visiting local concerts and festivals. She also considers herself a bookworm and spends time reading and developing her love of writing via poetry, short stories, and essays.

At ModSquad, Sara enjoys using her people skills to provide excellent customer service with an empathetic tone while solving problems and listening to each of her client’s customers.

“I feel that I excel at the work I do. I enjoy taking phone calls and being a resource for the customer by listening, being empathetic to their problem, and letting them know that I’m actively working to provide a solution for them. I generally try to bring more kindness into the world if I can, and this extends to my work.”

When asked about her finest moment at ModSquad, Sara loves the feeling of being able to turn difficult situations with frustrated customers into a positive experience for them.

“There have been many proud moments, but I can think of a few tough situations where I had to deal with customers who were completely dissatisfied and I was able to turn the situation around from demanding a total refund and the threat of a bad review to being amenable to warrant support and praising us at the end of the process for our customer service skills. Those types of situations have made me proud. Of course, it’s also pretty awesome to be chosen as a Mod of the Month!”

When asked to share feedback about Sara, our Project Managers had this to say:

“I know I say this a lot, but I legitimately want to clone her. Sara is the most helpful person. She always jumps in when we need it, without hesitation. She is beyond helpful with others on the project and so patient with new people.”
— Lauren Wilson, Project Manager

“Sara is an amazing Mod, always willing to help others. She adapts quickly to change. You can hear the smile in her voice, which makes the day better for everyone.”
— Shannon Duncan, Assistant Project Manager

“Sara is everything you want in a Mod: hard-working, dedicated, compassionate, helpful, friendly, and sincere. She’s the first person to step up and help, no matter the situation. She has a wonderful work ethic and genuinely enjoys her job. She handles complicated projects with absolute grace and makes it look effortless. I will fan-girl her forever.”
— Crystal Litzau, Project Manager
