Director Profile: Renee Odunaiya

Today we explore another star from the ModSquad galaxy. In this latest Director Profile, we meet a true leader in her field and a role model to many — our Director, Client Services, Renee Odunaiya. Those who have been fortunate enough to work with Renee can affirm that she exemplifies the ModSquad spirit. She has proven herself time and again to be an integral part of the ModSquad team.

In the role for nearly two years, Renee works with and oversees the partnerships that ModSquad fosters with our clients. These client relationships are the foundation of all that we do here at ModSquad, and Renee ensures that everyone we work with gets top-notch service.

We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Renee about her life at ModSquad and beyond. When not championing client relationships for ModSquad, she spends her time with her active and imaginative family. A devoted mother, Renee cares for her three children with the same dedication she shows here every day.

Tell us about yourself. What was your background before coming to ModSquad?

I’ve lived in the Austin, Texas area for the past 22 years. I have three beautiful children, a 20-year-old daughter, Kiara Renee, and nearly nine-year-old twins, Judah and Sarai. They keep me busy outside of work with martial arts tournaments, football, basketball, and soccer. Whew!

I’ve been on both sides of the contact center table as a vendor and a client for nearly 18 years. This has benefited me greatly and given me an in-depth understanding of client needs, customer experience, and how to encourage future leaders to deliver the best service.

Prior to ModSquad, I gained most of my industry chops at a marketing services company, where I moved up through the ranks for seven years. I specialized in both gaming and B2B technical needs and worked with some Fortune 100 clients.

What are your primary responsibilities here? What is an average day like for you?

I currently oversee many of the North American client relationships. I work on strategic initiatives that improve overall service delivery processes, management best practices, and the client experience.

On any given day you’ll find me working closely with the Account Managers to ensure their project and client needs are being met. I’ll be maintaining financial success across my areas of business and partnering with People Operations and the recruiting team on project opportunities. Additionally, I might be working on leadership development, business analysis, and tool improvement.

What sets ModSquad apart, in your opinion?

Flexibility and scalability! They’re the two most sought-after features in the industry, and we offer them to our clients. There’s not another company where you can get the same level of service — the way you want it and how you want it — that we offer our clients. We creatively take on traditional challenges in our own untraditional way, and this sets us far apart from the rest.

Do you have any favorite memories or stories about your time at ModSquad?

It’s been a blessing to have the opportunity to work from home and be here with my kiddos after school. Having the flexibility to maintain a career while being available for them has been both heartwarming and interesting. My little people remind me that I work with great people here at ModSquad, some of whom they’ve had the chance to meet and come to know.
